AmbassadorAnthony O. Vann, President & Co-Founder of Noire Productions,
Inc., started Noire
Productions in 1997.
His mission for the company was to bring “Quality Entertainment to the
African-American Community.” Since the companies humble
beginning we have done over 20 productions, all written and directed
by Vann. In most of the
dramas Vann also writes the music as well. In 2000 Vann’s literary
works were published in “Divining Beauty” a publication of Watermark
Press. In 2003 Noire
Productions received the coveted Cathy B. Hughes Business
Award. Vann was
also featured in an article on Spiritual healing through
gospel dramas, in the Medical Herald
Magazine of New
York. Vann is also a certified
judge for the the Miss America organization, as well as
Internationally certified as a Director and Judge through EPIC
International Pageant system. Vann was one of the
producers for the Miss Black USA Pageant 2007 in Gambia,
Africa. Vann has worked as a Field Director for the Miss
North Carolina Pageant system. He currently serves
as Director of Development for State Directors for the
National Miss Black USA
Organization. In February
2008, Vann was appointed as an Ambassador for Gambia,
Africa by the Honorable President Dr. Yahya J.J. Jammeh.
Vann is excited about the responsibility and is excited to
represent such a great group of people.
As a writer Vann’s mission is to
make sure that my work has substance. “I write about situations
facing our African-American communities today, and offer
positive messages for solutions to problems faced in the
drama.”
As an overall person Vann’s
mission is be the best friend, brother, son, uncle, confident,
etc., that he can be.
“I want God’s light to shine through me, so that others may
see the way. I want to
make a difference in the lives of others, and doing this I am sure a
difference will be made in my own life. I just want to know that God

Kimberly Vann-Hunt is the
Co-Founder and Vice-President of Noire Productions,
Inc.
Vann-Hunt also serves as National Director for
the Jr. Miss/ Miss Teen Essence USA Scholarship
Pageant. This program
works with African-American teens 10 to 18 years old. The participants are groomed
to become outstanding leaders in our society through
our development program. She also serves as State
Director for the Miss Black NC USA
competition. Kimberly currently
resides in Knightdale, NC. She received her Bachelor’s
degree from the University
of North Carolina at
Greensboro in Speech Language
Pathology, and her Master’s degree from North Carolina
Central University in Speech Language
Pathology. She is the
wife of Officer Jonathon Hunt and the mother of Cody Douglas
Hunt, 8 and Taylor Nicole Hunt, 5. Kim owns and operates
Vann-Hunt & Associates Inc., a private practice speech company
in Raleigh, NC.
Kimberly enjoys reaching out into the community and giving
back to others….Vann says “One day someone reached out and touched
my life, so I feel compelled to do the same. To whom much is given, much
is required. If I can
change one life, then it is all worth it.” Kimberly

Raquel
O’Bryant is the Durham County Director of Teen Essence USA
Scholarship Compeitions.
An active communitarian, Raquel holds the position of Vice
Chairperson of Star Foundation, Inc.; a non-profit organization
dedicated to encouraging and showcasing youth talents. She also serves as the
Program Director of Star Eleganze Talent Mentoring Program, a
component of Star Foundation, Inc., based in
Durham,
NC. The Star Eleganze program,
open to young ladies and gentleman, has its foundation built on the
concepts of respect for self, respect for others and self
esteem. With her past experience in print and runway
modeling, Raquel provides a wealth of expertise and skill
through instruction in the fine arts of modeling, etiquette and
poise. Raquel states,
“Our youth need to know that there are adults in our communities who
care about where they are going in life and are there to help them
along the way.”
An accomplished Toastmaster, Raquel has
served as a motivational speaker and has chaired and judged several
fashion shows and pageants. Raquel was recently honored by
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of NC with the Community Blue
Award! She has obviously dedicated herself to helping improve
the lives of others. Raquel resides in
Durham, NC with her husband Shelly and two dogs, Sadie and
Trek. She is co-owner of Exquisite Affeairs Event Planning
Services, also based in Durham, NC. She attended North
Carolina Central University majoring in Psychology with a
concentration in Counseling. In her spare time, Raquel enjoys
singing, listening to music, reading and spending time with family

Director~
Lavonne, is a native of New Bern,
North Carolina . In the early nineties she was introduced by the
late Natasha Barbee who mentored and coached her in theatrical
make-up application, acting, dance, and modeling. Through various
modeling venues with the late Natasha Barbee, and other modeling
companies such as KGD Production, Sensation Entertainment, Fashion
Designer Ed Holman, and Bianca Edwards Henry are just to name a few.
Ms. Wright was noted for her professionalism and grace as well as
most desired to showcase her runway and coaching abilities.
She now
resides in Chapel Hill, working as an independent contractor Lavonne
offers a program of training young girls beginning at the age of
four, she also prepares young ladies for pageants and fashion shows.
She is respected within the community and viewed by many as being
diverse and knowledgeable with a passion for coaching with a
positive attitude. She has a natural ability for keeping those
around her motivated and excited, she displays strong leadership
abilities, which landed her modeling classes on the front page of
the Chapel Hill News, July2005. Lavonne is the proud mother of
two wonderful sons.

Director~
Connie Rogers was born and raised in
Cary, NC. She graduated from the
University of
North Carolina at Greensboro
with a BA degree in Broadcast/Journalism. Her love for the theatre has
landed her in roles, such as, South Pacific, Damn Yankees,
Dreamgirls, The House that Joy Built, Jitney and many more. She made her Gospel stage
play debut in the production of Butterfly Wings: Claudine’s Story
where she played the role of Claudine. She is currently working on
two upcoming gospel stage play productions that will debut later
this year.
It is her desire to
teach and motivate young girls to aspire to a higher calling.
Connie has worked with the Teen Essence organization in many
capacities over the last 5 years. She has served as a judge,
mc, and mentor. She is looking forward in serving as the Wake
County director. As she works to help young
ladies promote and discover their God given talents to be used
as a means to serve mankind and in turn give God the
glory.
She enjoys reading, traveling, and
spending time with family. She is employed with Capital Bank and
resides in Cary with her husband Waldo Rogers and daughter
Amanda.

Greetings to ALL!!
My name is Andrea Y. Hill of
Clinton, NC. I am
married to David C. Hill
and have two children: Jacinta and Malachi. I am currently teaching
8th Grade with the Clinton City Schools System where I
have been for over 10 years.
Furthering my education, I am also a graduate student at my
Alma Matter: Fayetteville State University. My life has allowed me to be
in the United States Army and also an actress in several Noire
Productions : “Be Grateful” and “ Be Grateful II”, as well as the
Warner Brothers series “One Tree Hill”. I am very interested in the
future of our youth and have been since I was “Miss Black Teenage
World of Sampson County.”
As a director of “The Prince and Princess Ebony Pageant” for
several years, I believe that I can continue to help our young
people by showing them that they are capable of great things in this
life. I am an associate
minister at my church Union Grove Church of Christ and a member as
chaplain of The Clinton Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta
Sorority Inc. It is my
firm belief that all can succeed if they are motivated to do
so.
